AMG-enhanced 3.0L V6 biturbo engine

A 385-hp 3.0L V6 biturbo engine features numerous AMG enhancements for instant response. Increased turbo boost puts its 384 lb-ft of torque on tap at just 2,500 rpm, for a 0-60 time of just 4.5 seconds. Rapid-multispark ignition and high-pressure Direct Injection act with millisecond speed and molecular precision. Beneath its red engine cover, a lightweight diecast-alloy block, variable valve timing and reduced friction further raise efficiency and performance.

AMG Performance Braking System

Track-ready yet comfortable and confident in everyday driving, the AMG C 43 Performance brakes feature perforated 14.2-inch front rotors and grey-painted 4-piston fixed calipers. Unlike conventional cross-drilling, the discs are cast with the holes in place, enhancing strength and better resisting the stresses of high heat. The rear discs measure a sizable 12.6 inches and are fitted with substantial silver calipers.

ECO Start/Stop system

An ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

ESP Dynamic Cornering Assist

An advanced torque-vectoring system adds control and precision in turns via targeted rear-wheel braking. If the vehicle's Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) detects understeer while cornering, Dynamic Cornering Assist applies the brake to the inside rear wheel, temporarily shifting torque distribution in favor of the outside wheel. This can help the vehicle to gently pivot in response, putting it on a line of travel, or vector, better suited to the turn.

Distinctive details define each AMG C-Class from grille to tailpipes. AMG® wheel choices, at least four per model, range from 18 inches to mixed 19/20-inch forged-alloy options for the C 63 S. Styling options include gloss black and carbon fiber accents.

LED headlamps and taillamps

With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than xenon headlamps, multi-element LED headlamps can enhance both vision and visibility during nighttime driving. Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps and all other front light functions are integrated within the flowing sculpture of the headlamp assemblies, making the design as appealing as it is illuminating. Taillamps feature a distinctive C-shaped LED design plus LED turn signals and brake lamps.

Panorama roof

Offering both front- and rear-seat passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a large panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide back for an open-air feeling. An interior power sunshade lets you adjust the amount of sunlight entering the cabin.

14-way power front sport seats with memory

Substantially bolstered sport front seats are detailed with metal AMG badges and exclusive stitching. Intuitive, seat-shaped controls help you and your front passenger find your ideal seating positions with 14-way power adjustment, including a power lumbar support. A memory system for each front seat recalls three stored seat positions with the touch of a button. The driver-seat memory also includes the power steering column and side mirror positions.

The upper dash and doors are elegantly upholstered in richly grained MB-Tex and impeccably topstitched.

KEYLESS-GO

A leap in ease and efficiency pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, KEYLESS-GO® lets you unlock, start and drive away without removing the SmartKey from your pocket or purse. You can lock and unlock the doors with a touch of the exterior handles, and start the engine by stepping on the brake pedal and pushing the KEYLESS-START button on the dash.

10.25-inch high-resolution center display

The wide central screen offers more easily visible readouts, navigation maps, and illustrated and animated menus. Measuring more than 10 inches diagonally, the display is mounted atop the center dash to stay close to your sightlines, yet its slim, visor-free design stays vivid in sunlight and elegant all the time. Split-screen options let you display multiple functions at once, and you can access the screen via the console controller or right Touch Control Button on the steering wheel.

Crosswind Assist

Interpreting information that is continually supplied by the car's Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), electric power steering and suspension sensors, Crosswind Assist can help detect the effects of strong side winds on the vehicle's handling stability at highway speeds. Whether caused by lateral gusts or even a passing truck, the system helps keep the car on course via strategic braking of the wheels on one side of the vehicle.

Active Brake Assist

Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also help detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.

Rearview camera

For a better view of what's behind your vehicle when reversing, a high-resolution camera can display a live view on the central in-dash screen. Steering-dependent active guidelines on the screen can help you back into a parking space, and you can select between wide-angle and even wider 180-degree views.

PRE-SAFE

A Mercedes-Benz first, PRE-SAFE® can detect instability during certain vehicle maneuvers that suggest a collision or rollover is imminent. It can then tighten the front seat belts, adjust the front passenger seat, and close the windows and sunroof, all in an effort to better prepare the occupants and restraints in the moments before a collision. If no accident occurs, the seat-belt tensioners reverse, and you simply readjust your seat, open the sunroof and continue on your way.
