2.0L inline-4 turbo engine with mild hybrid drive

Mild hybrid electrification advances the 255-hp 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine. A 48-volt Integrated Starter-Generator allows fuel-free coasting, and can recapture energy during deceleration. It can also supply up to 23 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque for added response on demand. And the gasoline engine is further enhanced with a more efficient turbocharger, CAMTRONIC variable valve lift, and friction-reducing CONICSHAPE cylinders with NANOSLIDE walls.

Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator

Electrifying the inline-4 gasoline engine is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery to supply power for some formerly belt-driven components such as the water pump, reducing weight and enhancing underhood packaging. In addition, the electric assist can generate additional, gas-free power and torque (up to 23 hp and 151 lb-ft) for immediate response.

9G-TRONIC automatic transmission

With a wide range of ratios and shorter steps between gears, the 9-speed automatic changes gears quickly yet smoothly. The light, versatile transmission enhances performance, quiet riding comfort and efficiency. The electronic selector and shift paddles let you control all gear changes with your hands on the steering wheel. And drivers can vary the shift modes via the innovative DYNAMIC SELECT system.

Three USB-C charging ports

State-of-the-art USB-C connectors in the center console and armrest allow plug-and-play enjoyment from your compatible devices as well as fast charging of your phone. Providing 15W maximum combined power, it's also suitable for data transfer with the vehicle. A 12V power outlet is also provided at the front of the console.

Wireless Apple CarPlay

Wireless Apple CarPlay^® brings its own interface and apps to your Mercedes-Benz. Integrating with your car's in-dash screen and cockpit controls, Apple CarPlay lets you enjoy a variety of apps via an interface that looks and works like your iPhone^®. That's because it links your iPhone and Siri^® to your car, without plugging in a cable, so you can make calls, hear or dictate text messages, navigate to a destination, stream music, podcasts and audiobooks from a variety of sources, and more.

Steering wheel in leather

Featuring finely stitched leather with sculpted side grips and matte silver trim on its spokes, the standard steering wheel offers a pleasing grip and rich appearance.

ECO Start/Stop system

An ECO Start/Stop system can automatically shut off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

Garage door opener

Three buttons on the rear view mirror can be programmed to operate many types of garage door openers, security gates and other HomeLink^®-compatible features.

7 air bags

An advanced system of 7 air bags offers 9-way occupant protection. Standard are dual two-stage front air bags and combined thorax/pelvic bags for the driver and front passenger, plus a knee air bag for the driver, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows.

Active Brake Assist

Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.

PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist

Active Parking Assist can search for suitable parallel or perpendicular parking spaces to either side as you drive by. Choose a space to pull or back into, and it can expertly shift, steer and brake for you. When it's time to leave, it can also steer you back out. In any low-speed maneuver, PARKTRONIC sensors in the front and rear bumpers help detect nearby objects within their field of view. Audible signals and illuminated displays in the cabin help you navigate tight spaces with confidence.

Blind Spot Assist with Exit Warning Assist

When traveling above approximately 8 mph, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist can then help alert the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. An audible warning sounds if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot. After parking, Exit Warning Assist can alert the driver or passengers to vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians that could be at risk if the door is opened.
