Rear 265kW permanently synchronous electric motor

Smooth, quiet and rich in torque, the EQS 450+ is more powerful for 2024, with an advanced 265kW electric motor that can send up to 355 hp and 419 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. The "permanently excited synchronous motor" (PSM) features permanent magnets to generate AC current with high power density and efficiency. An advanced cooling system helps maintain consistent response during spirited driving and a wide range of climates.

Advanced 108.4-kWh EV battery

A new generation of battery technology in the EQS offers significantly higher energy density. The high-voltage battery's energy content of more than 108 kWh is managed by innovative software, developed by Mercedes-Benz, that can be updated over the air, without a dealer visit, to help it stay up-to-date throughout its lifespan.

Multiple charging options

The charge port in the rear fender allows for easy attachment of compatible DC and AC charging devices. The AC socket allows for Level 1 charging from a standard 110-volt household outlet, or Level 2 charging from a 240-volt home installation or public charging station. Level 3 DC fast charging, available at many public stations, can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about half an hour.

AIRMATIC suspension

For a balanced, comfortable ride, the AIRMATIC® semi-active suspension employs electronically controlled air springs that adjust to changing driving conditions. Components are engineered to offer quick response with light system weight. AIRMATIC's automatic 4-wheel level control helps compensate for additional cargo or passengers. Pre-entry climate control

You can precondition the cabin comfort while the EQS is plugged in, before you even enter. The start time and settings for the climate control, along with activation of seat heating or available ventilation, can be preselected via controls in the cabin or turned on via the Mercedes me connect app on your smartphone. With optional Energizing Air Control Plus, the cabin air can even be pre-purified. Preconditioning while the car is charging helps to extend your driving range once you're underway.

Burmester 3D Surround Sound system w/EV Sound

The Burmester® 3D system pairs innovations in mobile audio with legendary quality. A Digital Signal Processing amp can output 710 total watts to deliver a natural sound spectrum in any music genre. A total of 15 speakers includes 3D surround speakers, exquisitely drilled metal speaker grilles, and body-integrated FrontBass subwoofers. Along with preset listening modes, Sound Personalization can tailor settings to your individual tastes. EV Sound features integrate with the EQS Sound Experience.

Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC

A Mercedes-Benz innovation, radar-based Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® can adapt your cruise control speed to the flow of traffic. If the vehicle ahead slows to a stop, it can brake to a full halt. If traffic moves within 60 seconds, it can proceed automatically. It can even team with the navigation's Electric Intelligence to optimize acceleration and speed for driving range, or for a desired charge status at your destination. You can also vary system dynamics via MBUX.

Active Blind Spot Assist

At most driving speeds, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area on either side of you, and alert you by illuminating an icon in the appropriate side mirror. If you activate a turn signal while a vehicle is detected, it can sound a warning tone while flashing the mirror icon.
