The lightweight, fully beltless engine is also electrified: An Integrated Starter-Generator can supply up to 23 hp, allow fuel-free coasting, and recapture energy during deceleration. With a twin-scroll turbo and electric auxiliary compressor, the gas engine outputs 442 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque on its own, for swift response.

ECO Start/Stop system

A fuel-saving ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

9G-TRONIC automatic transmission
