Three lockable differentials

As you make your way off-road, three sequentially lockable differentials offer increasingly masterful capability. Each differential can be locked in sequence (center, rear, then front) via a set of buttons on the dash, to help maintain the ideal balance of torque and traction for the situation.

3-zone climate control

In addition to the separate left and right temperature controls, a third zone is dedicated to the rear cabin. Along with fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a humidity sensor, a dust/pollen filter, and an activated charcoal filter that helps remove odors from the cabin air. The rear-cabin settings can be adjusted from control panels in the dash and in the second row.

Blind Spot Assist

When traveling above approximately 20 mph, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist can then alert the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. An audible warning sounds if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot. After parking, Exit Warning Assist can alert the driver or passengers to vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians that could be at risk if the door is opened.

It can then tighten the front seat belts, adjust the front passenger seat, and begin to close the windows and sunroof, all in an effort to better prepare the occupants and restraints in the moments before a collision. If no accident occurs, the seat-belt tensioners reverse, and you can simply readjust your seat, open the sunroof and continue on your way.
