AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive

A specially engineered version of 4MATIC® can instantly vary the front-to-rear torque distribution in precise response to driving conditions and driver inputs. It can even send up to 100% to the rear wheels. An electromechanical coupling between the front and rear axles is controlled based on an elaborate matrix of driving mode, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, and available grip to optimize handling and acceleration right up to the physical limits, on virtually any road or track surface.

AMG-enhanced 3.0L inline-6 turbo engine with hybrid assist

The seamless power and natural balance of an inline-6 return with another Mercedes-AMG tradition: a technological leap forward. The lightweight, fully beltless engine is also electrified: An Integrated Starter-Generator can supply up to 21 hp at certain rpm, allow fuel-free coasting, and recapture energy during deceleration. With a twin-scroll turbo and electric auxiliary compressor, the gas engine outputs 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque on its own, for quick, efficient response.

Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator

Electrifying the inline-6 gasoline engine is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery to supply power for formerly belt-driven components like the water pump and air-conditioning compressor, reducing weight and enhancing underhood packaging. In addition, the electric assist can generate additional, gas-free power and torque for immediate response.

ECO Start/Stop system

An ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

LED Daytime Running Lamps and all other front light functions are integrated within the flowing sculpture of the headlamp assemblies, making them as appealing as they are illuminating. Taillamps feature bright LED brake lamps that illuminate more quickly than conventional lightbulbs.

AMG logos illuminate in a soft white glow as you open the door, to welcome you into the cabin or ease your exit.

Electric trunk partition

A movable divider helps define the luggage space that will be available when the power top is lowered. Electric operation allows this partition to be moved automatically as you operate the top. A sensor detects if the size and shape of the trunk contents will not allow the partition to lower.

12.3-inch digital instrument cluster

A high-resolution color screen in front of the driver offers customizable instrumentation. Four selectable designs, Modern Classic, Sport, Progressive and Understated, combine analog-style gauges with digital and graphical readouts. They all also incorporate a multifunction screen with illustrated and animated menus, plus readouts for vehicle information, feature settings and driver-assistance systems. It's easy to scroll through the menus via the left steering-wheel Touch Control Button.

Heated front seats

Electrically heated front seats quickly take the chill out of even the coldest day. Three levels of warming automatically step down after several minutes to the lowest setting.

AIRCAP

An exclusive Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet innovation, AIRCAP® is an automatic draft-stop system you can engage at the touch of a button. Utilizing an airfoil that rises from the windshield header and an electrically operated see-through mesh screen between the rear head restraints, AIRCAP can help keep top-down driving quiet and draft-free even at highway speeds. And unlike conventional wind deflectors, the rear seats remain fully usable.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

Using the ultrasonic, radar and camera-based technology of Active Parking Assist, Blind Spot Assist and the Surround View System, this innovation helps audibly and visually alert the driver to approaching cross-traffic when backing out of a parking space at low speed. Especially helpful if your view is obstructed by vehicles or structures, the system can also apply the brakes. The sensors can also help detect if the driver has engaged the wrong gear or pedal for exiting a confined space.

Blind Spot Assist

At most driving speeds, radar technology helps sense when a vehicle enters your blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist can then automatically alert the driver via an illuminated icon in the appropriate side mirror. The system can also give an audible warning if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.

ATTENTION ASSIST

The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy, and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a dashboard display.

Surround View System

The advanced Surround View System uses cameras in all four directions to compose a single, live overhead view of your immediate surroundings. Displayed on the central in-dash screen during low-speed maneuvers, it can help you avoid obstacles as you negotiate tight spaces, whether you're moving forward or backing up. Enhanced functionality now reveals virtually the entire length of the car along each side.
