Active Blind Spot Assist

At most driving speeds, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area on either side of you, and alert you by illuminating an icon in the appropriate side mirror. When using Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® cruise control in stop-and-go traffic, the vehicle can normally resume automatically when traffic moves if the pause is less than three seconds.
